Founded in 1949 by a group of parents
Life Navigators (formerly ARC of Greater Milwaukee) was founded in 1949 by a group of parents who sought to provide opportunities and services for their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their early efforts resulted in mandated special education services, day programming and community based recreation, residential and employment programming.
